I just got back from traveling all around Morocco with a group of plus size women. We were thrilled to experience Marrakech, the Agafay Desert, and Essaouira, but our biggest concern before leaving was what to wear in Morocco as a woman. I spent a considerable amount of time researching what to wear and why Morocco may have a more conservative dress code and found that, due to the country’s strong religious and traditional roots, it’s best for women to cover their shoulders, chest, and knees.

Each year I get more excited about plus size swimwear because there are always more options and innovations—for example, this plus size reversible one piece swimsuit I am wearing.

I used to be so frustrated that plus size swimwear looked like tankinis, high-waist diaper bikini bottoms, and full coverage one pieces for the longest time. But plus size swimwear has evolved over the years, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

It can’t just be me.

I love the pairing of blush and mocha in the Times Like This Sweater from Chic Soul, and the thick stripes are so bold. For this look, I paired the sweater with a pair of plus size white skinny jeans, but I could have also styled the sweater with a pair of blue jeans or a chic skirt.

I was always

too short to model
too fat to be an athlete
too emotional to be captain
too different to be accepted

And while I may still be all of those things now, none of them actually kept me from becoming a model, working out, and being accepted. All the way down too my core, I felt those statements above were true, and that ultimately, my fat, chubby, short body would prevent me from living the life I dreamt of.

Of course you have, because we all do. Ever heard the phrase “You are your own toughest critic?” Well, it’s true, we are all hard on ourselves whether we like to admit it or not. Me, especially. Ever since I can remember, I was consumed with doubt.

I found the secret to feeling like a goddess, and it’s this dress. As soon as I slipped this maxi dress on, I felt like the baddest chick on the planet! It’s off the shoulder, it has high slits, and the tropical floral print is divine. I wore this dress out while shopping, and it was definitely a head turner. One of the best feelings to me is knowing that I have a piece of clothing in my closet that can transform my mood, confidence, and day as soon as I put it on.

After I saw DJ Khaled’s new music video for “Wild Thoughts,” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, I could not get Rihanna’s red, cropped, off-the-shoulder blouse out of my mind! So, naturally, I ran to Forever 21, H&M, TJ Maxx, and Marshals to try and find a similar top. To no avail, I started to panic. I HAD TO HAVE THE RED BLOUSE! Then, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted this bright red top shoved into the size small section on a rack at TJ Maxx.

Do you remember when I tried my first tutu? I was a little skeptical and really nervous. I usually only wear clothes that are form fitting, and I shy away from extra fabric at all costs. But when I slid on my first Society + tutu, I knew it was something special, and that the skirt would be worth the fashion risk I was about to take.

Since I ended up loving this tutu, I have been dying to incorporate another one into my wardrobe.

I am definitely #TeamCasual. However, I am also known for using the term “casual” too loosely and just rocking gym clothes. Feel me? Since I’m a recovering gym gear wear-aholic, I have been trying to create looks that are put together, but casual, and still a little fashion forward.

I love that the denim skirt is coming back into style, and I have been trying to find the perfect one to start working into my wardrobe for the summer.

I’m kind of weird. I love the idea of summer, but I always feel kind of uninspired when it comes to summer fashion. I face the same dilemma every year: It’s 90°and I should wear shorts or a skirt. While that sounds great, I do a lot of walking since I rely on that and public transportation to get around the city. And lots of walking = lots of chub rub, and chub rub is my worst enemy.
