There are so many plus size brands that sell affordable, accessible, and trendy plus size office clothes. I currently hold many jobs that I have to get dressed for—and they are all vastly different. I work full time in aviation, and I’m also a college educator, a freelance SEO copywriter, and an influencer. So, it’s safe to say that I am always thinking about work wardrobes.

Since I got this outfit, I have worn it to work at least once a week.

I really love the elevation that the ribbed, satin material brings to the skirt to make it stand out, and the blazer is also an elevated version of your average work jacket. The tie waist and crop fit make this piece extra special, and everyone always wants a closer look. I love when I find pieces like this that make it look like I put a lot of effort into the whole outfit when really I didn’t.

Anytime I can spice up my work wardrobe, I do. You know I love an all black ensemble with a pair of heels for work, but every once in a while, I get to mix in a statement piece like this Asymmetrical Faux Wrap Skirt from Marée Pour Toi. Sure, this piece may be a little loud for the office, but it’s all about what you pair it with. I decided to top the look off with a Black Blazer and a Washed Silk Tank Top, which seems safe, but is a bold look with the striped skirt.

So as you could probably imagine, my office attire is mostly made up of black blazers, pants, and peplum tops. While I throw a dash of color or maybe a beige-colored garment, I rarely ever wear white…period. However, I recently got a white blouse in one of my Stitch Fix boxes, and I’m not sure if it was the unique cut of the blouse or the simple fact that I only own one other white shirt, but I kept it and made an effort to incorporate it into my wardrobe.

Ever since Gabi Gregg and Nicolette Mason launched Premme, a fashion-forward clothing brand for plus size women, I wanted to get my hands on everything they made. The brand is a huge hit, and many items sold out quicker than I could hit checkout. When their most recent collection dropped, I knew that it was time to treat myself and spend some coin on Premme! I fell in love with the metallic, yet sheer flowy pants that showcased curves in an extremely special way.

If I told you I was running for office, would you believe me (having only seen these photos)? Well, I’m not, but I feel like this would be the outfit I’d announce my candidacy in. And before you ask… Yes, a leather skirt is absolutely appropriate for that occasion….at least to me it is (hah). A girl could dream right?

Side note: PLEASE VOTE. I will be voting on November 6, and no matter your political stance or viewpoint, I urge you to exercise your right, and make a difference in this next election.

I have been dying to get my hands on one of these crazy button down shirts for a couple of years now. You know what I’m talking about, right? There are many variations of the style, but I have been loving the twists brands have been putting on the button down shirt. Eloquii was a brand that I thought had a few great tops incorporating this trend, but every time I tried one on, I was pretty disappointed because I felt like they never looked good on me.

I am constantly on the hunt for fashion-forward, well fitting, and comfortable clothing that I can wear to work. Sure, my go to black top, black blazer, and black pants never fails, but sometimes, I want to switch it up and sport a bold look into the office. But here is where I run into issues: A lot of plus size clothing is made for tall, plus size women. Everything I find from blazers to pants runs long on me, which means I either have to get things altered, roll up sleeves or pant ankles, or get creative with how I style the pieces.

This is an outfit you can catch me wearing any day of the week at the office. I love keeping my work looks professional, but fun. Don’t get me wrong, I love an all black office look comprised of fitted slacks and a nice blouse. However, when I have the opportunity to create a thoughtful and out of the box work look, I’m doing it.

I usually achieve this balance by incorporating simple staples like this pair of Rebel Wilson x Angels dark skinny jeans with an unusual embellishments.
