This morning, I had to run a couple of errands downtown and felt like getting dressed up. I wanted an outfit that I felt confident and comfortable in. Oh, and it also had to keep me warm since Chicago has gotten a little chilly as of late. I think I found my new favorite plus size winter coat.

I felt myself shiver today. Even on the coldest days, rarely am I ever “too cold.” Maybe it was the way I was dressed—not practically, as usual—or the wind chill, but today felt like winter. I really don’t mind winter, in fact, I’d rather have it than summer on most days. And this year, I’m especially excited about it because I have so many plus size coats just waiting for their time to shine.

I know I have mentioned this to you all before, but because of where I am from (Boise, Idaho), there are some trends/clothing that when I wear it, I feel like I look “country” (like yeehaw). Why do I feel this way? I literally do not know. What I think looks country, some people would never have even thought that. One of the things on my “looks country” list is denim jackets.
