Is Fabletics legit? I credit Fabletics with my new-found gym confidence. So, I would say, yes! Let me go into more detail…

It’s an exciting time in the plus size community as another brand has begun catering to full-figured women. Under Armour has recently debuted its plus size collection, and I got a first-hand look at some of the pieces from the line. The line isn’t as extensive as I would like it to be, but I feel like it has different variations of certain workout styles that seem functional and chic. I do think it’s a good start for the brand, and I can’t wait to see what else Under Armour has in store for plus size women!

It gets cold here in Chicago, real cold. And unfortunately, winter is hitting us a little early this year. Last winter, when I was going to the gym with my boyfriend at 2 AM I was reminded that I needed heavy-duty workout gear that I could wear both outside and at the gym during the winter season.

Fabletics definitely came through with its November drop, which included this gorgeous plus size hoodie, which is the warmest and most functional athletic hoodie I have ever owned.

I can’t even tell you how long I have been searching for saucy looking gym gear. When I stumbled across the Kelly Rowland Fabletics line, I saw my favorite shade of green, and then I laid eyes on this Fearless set. From the metallic leather-like side panels to the matte cropped hoodie, it was everything I had ever dreamed for when it came to athleisure outfits. P.S. Fabletics is one of the best athleisure brands because a lot of their workout sets can be worn outside of the gym while still looking stylish.

I don’t know what has gotten into me, but lately, I have been comparing my body to others more frequently than I already do. As I am sure you know, comparison can really tear down one’s self esteem, and just because I may exude confidence, doesn’t mean I am immune to feeling insecure.

My body has shrunk, grown, and changed throughout the years—as most women’s bodies do, but that doesn’t mean that changes don’t shake me…especially when it comes to my body, which has been under scrutiny most of my life.

Growing up, I did some form of cheer and dance for the majority of my life. At first it was ballet, then hip hop and jazz followed, and eventually, I ended up doing competitive cheer leading. I LOVED dancing. Dancing always empowered me and allowed me to connect with my sensuality.

While I was always the biggest girl on the squad or team, I never let my body get in the way of doing what I loved.

I can’t even believe I am wearing cheetah print. Sure, I embraced the print when I was a kid—and definitely during the years when Jersey Shore was the show to watch. But for the past five years, I would steer clear of any kind of animal print—cheetah included. However, I knew that when cheetah print began having a moment more recently, that I may be sucked back into embracing the patten that I once relegated to the “never ever am I wearing this again” part of my brain.

I expected it to be versatile, like Kelly herself, which I love because while I may not be Kelly Rowland, I like to think of myself as versatile, too. I love to dance, do yoga, lift weights, and chill in cute workout gear.
