EDIT: 10/31/21: Are you petite and plus size like me? I’m 5’2 and a size 18! If so, you might want to check out my blog post about 12 petite plus size clothing brands to shop to learn where you can find the perfect jeans for your figure!
A major brand reposted one of my outfit photos on their Instagram page over the weekend. The likes went down, and the comments went up—and they weren’t good. People quickly posted out my stomach and how it looked in a high-waist denim skirt. The lower area of my stomach, which I call my “pouch,” has always been a huge insecurity of mine. I usually wear blouses and tops that cover this area, and I rarely ever tuck in my tops or wear crop tops with fitted bottoms. I get nasty comments all the time, but these ones stuck with me because I decided to embrace my “pouch” with this outfit regardless of the way I felt about it. But ladies, I’m going to keep it moving, and the only way I see fit to say “F U” to all the haters is to post another outfit showing off my pouch!

THIS IS A RARE SIGHT. NEVER HAVE I EVER LEFT THE HOUSE IN A PAIR OF JEANS WITH A CROP TOP. But today, I embraced my body in these plus size Cello Jeans and this gorgeous H&M ribbon-embroidered crop top. I know it can be hard to have confidence when people are constantly tearing you down, but the best way to rise above it is to just keep rocking your curves, and most importantly, keep wearing the trends and clothes you LOVE.
How I really feel about mom jeans
SIZING INFO: I am wearing a size 18 in Cello Jeans, which is a size larger than my usual size. I would suggest ordering two sizes larger than your original size because the jeans do run small!
