When it comes to my work wardrobe, I love to keep it pretty simple, but also sharp. So as you could probably imagine, my office attire is mostly made up of black blazers, pants, and peplum tops. While I throw a dash of color or maybe a beige-colored garment, I rarely ever wear white…period. However, I recently got a white blouse in one of my Stitch Fix boxes, and I’m not sure if it was the unique cut of the blouse or the simple fact that I only own one other white shirt, but I kept it and made an effort to incorporate it into my wardrobe. And this Cream Blazer With Black Trim from Mareé Pour Toi is my newest white addition to my closet. Honestly, I’m loving wearing white, and I never thought I would. I was always told that white wouldn’t look good on my figure because it wasn’t “flattering.” But since I’ve abandoned that desire to dress in a flattering way and just accept my body, I’ve embraced things that I used to deprive myself of. Sure, I could wear a white top and tone it down with a black blazer, cardigan, or jacket. But when you throw a white blazer into the mix, it’s obviously a bolder choice and look. So for the outfit I’m currently wearing, I chose a curve-hugging dress and a pair of black heels. And I love that the white blazer has black buttons and trim, which really guide the eye around the whole garment. This has since become one of my favorite work looks.
SIZING INFO: I am wearing a size 18 in the Cream Blazer With Black Trim, which is my usual size, and it fits me perfectly!
